A. Permits:
1. Before any person shall commence construction, alteration or removal of any building or structure in the City, such person shall first secure a building permit from the Clerk's Office and shall pay such permit, investigation and inspection fees as determined from time to time by the City Council. 2. Permits are required to erect any fence and plans showing lot lines and where fence will be erected on property must be submitted and approved before any permit is given. (Ord. 0-18-06, 2-12-2018)
B. Penalty: Building permit fees are to be doubled, when a building permit has not been acquired by twelve o'clock (12:00) noon on the first day of construction. The property owner shall be directly liable for such permit costs.
C. Building Valuation Scale: The valuation of construction projects for purpose of permit fees shall be as follows:

The building inspector or Zoning Officer may adjust these costs with the approval of the City Council. These valuations will be reviewed annually by the Council to determine if building cost permits need to be raised or lowered. (Ord. 0-18-10, 5-10-2010)
