There shall be established as a tap-on (hookup) fee for water of five hundred dollars ($500.00) to be assessed on all new connections in the following areas of the city of Colona:
A. Any lot existing in the area of the city limits of the city of Green Rock on May 1, 1997.
B. Any lot existing in the area of the village limits of the village of Colona on May 1, 1997.
The owner shall be responsible for completion of tap-on to city of Colona water line and the extension of service to owner's property at owner's expense.
All connections made to city of Colona water system must be done through a licensed plumber who is bonded and insured. Any connections shall also comply with all plumbing codes and building ordinances of the city of Colona.
All tap-on connections must be inspected and approved by the city of Colona at the time of connection and must not be covered until such inspection is completed. (Ord. 15-04, 9-13-2004)
