The job consists of reading the entire meter system. The job will be performed within the latter two (2) weeks of each month, and the person appointed to the job as water meter reader shall obey the city rules and regulations.
The salary for the job of water meter reader shall be four hundred dollars ($400.00) per month, and when the job is started, it must be finished within the time frame hereinbefore allotted.
The city clerk of the city of Colona will decide on any different reading schedule.
The person appointed to the job of water meter reader shall provide his or her own transportation and fuel, and if the person appointed to the job of water meter reader is unable to perform this job for any reason, the city clerk's office must be notified as soon as possible.
There will be no clothing allowance for the person appointed to the job of water meter reader. (Ord. 08-01, 5-14-2001)
