A. The snowmobile regulations act set out in the Illinois Compiled Statutes is incorporated into this code by reference. Said snowmobile regulations are cited as 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 40/1-1 through 11-1.
B. Violations of this section may be paid through the city's no contest sections of this code. All violations which go to trial shall be governed by the general penalty clause of this code.
C. Designated snowmobile route within the city limits is as follows:
The snowmobile route shall consist of the bike trail from Interstate 80 to Route 84, then stay on the trail to the 5th and 6th Street bridge crossing, then the trail shall cross over the south side of the canal and the trail shall consist of the shoulder of the bike trail to the locks.
D. Designated parking areas are:
1. The parking area on the corner of Water Street and Maple,
2. The parking lot at Galliaerts field off Colona Road,
3. The canal area along 5th Avenue between 3rd Street and 4th Street,
4. The Hennepin Drive parking area just off 5th Avenue,
5. The open field at the end of 9th Street, and
6. The boat ramp parking lot.
E. City roads to travel on:
1. Maple Street from Water to Broadway Street.
2. Broadway Street from Maple to Warren Street.
3. Warren Street from Broadway to High Street.
4. High Street from Warren Street to Cleveland Road.
5. 1st Street from 5th Avenue to 7th Avenue.
6. 6th Street from 5th Avenue to 1st Avenue.
F. The designated snowmobile route, parking areas and city roads will be open the same times as the Hennepin Trail. (Ord. 11-02, 11-11-2002)
