Ordinance violation fees and/or fines assessed under no contest offenses shall be doubled for repeat offenders during the period of twelve (12) months following the date of their last ticket for the same offense. Every violation fee continues to double until a twelve (12) month period of being violation free of the same offense.
Example: A March 2010 ticket followed by a September 2010 ticket for the same offense: If March fine was twenty five dollars ($25.00) the September fine would be fifty dollars ($50.00) and if a third ticket is incurred within twelve (12) months the September ticket and fine would be one hundred dollars ($100.00) and the doubling of the last fine shall continue until the arrested person is free of such offense for a twelve (12) month period following their last ticket for the offense.
