5-2-1-6: THEFT AND RELATED OFFENSES:
   A.   Petit Theft: It shall be unlawful for any person to commit "petit theft" which is hereby defined as a theft when the property taken is of value of less than one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00), with the intent to permanently deprive the owner of use or possession of the property. [720 ILCS 5/16-1]
   B.   Possession Of Burglar Tools: It shall be unlawful for any person to have in his/her possession any nippers of any description known as burglar's nippers, picklock, skeleton key, jimmy or other burglar's instrument or tool of any description, unless it be shown that the possession is innocent or for a lawful purpose.
