The code official or housing inspector shall inspect a unit upon receiving a legitimate complaint. Complainant's name shall be kept confidential pursuant to the Minnesota Data Privacy Act. Upon inspection and finding a violation the inspector shall notify the owner, manager or tenant in writing to correct the violation. The owner or manager may request an advisory inspection of a unit.
