It shall be unlawful for pawnbrokers to sell, exchange, barter or remove from their place of business or permit to be redeemed any goods pledged, pawned or deposited by, to or with them for a period of 48 hours after delivering a copy of the stub book entry covering such articles to the police as required by § 112.26.
