§ 71.16 TRUCKS.
   (A)   For the purposes of this section, a TRUCK is defined to be any vehicle designed or operated for the transportation of property and whose gross vehicle weight exceeds 10,000 pounds. This definition shall also include travel buses and all large recreational vehicles which may be a traffic obstruction.
   (B)   Any truck over 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight shall be prohibited from using streets within the corporate limits except those designated as state highway system streets. This prohibition shall include the parking of the truck in the public right-of-way of a street in a residential district of the Town.
   (C)   The following exceptions shall apply to this section:
      (1)   The operation of trucks upon any street where necessary to the conduct of business at a designated point within the Town, provided that streets designated as truck routes are used until reaching the intersection nearest the destination point;
      (2)   The operation of emergency vehicles upon any street in the Town;
      (3)   The operation of trucks owned or operated by the Town, any contractor or materialman while engaged in the repair, maintenance or construction of the streets, street improvements or street utilities within the Town;
      (4)   The operation of trucks for which escort service has been arranged for in advance and provided by the Collierville Police Department.
