§ 37.135 COLLECTION OF FIRE FEE.
   (A)   Each applicant for a building permit for new residential and commercial structures shall state, on a form provided by the Building Official, the amount of gross square footage contained in the structure subject to the application.
   (B)   The Building Official shall calculate the fee due on the permit and collect such fee in cash or by a negotiable instrument, prior to issuance of the building permit.
   (C)   In the event that a building permit is not obtained for any new structure, the applicant for a certificate of occupancy shall state the amount of gross square footage contained in the project subject to application, and the Building Official shall calculate the fee due on the project and collect such fee in cash or by a negotiable instrument, prior to issuance of the certificate of occupancy.
   (D)   No building permit or certificate of occupancy shall be issued until the fee required has been paid.
