The Board of Mayor and Aldermen (the “Board”) finds that:
(A) The fire protection system of the Town of Collierville (the “Town”) are in need of repair, constant maintenance and expansion in order to provide adequate protection for persons and property;
(B) The Town has prepared a study identifying the need and cost of maintaining and expanding fire protection services throughout the Town’s fire districts; and
(C) The fee established by this subchapter will be imposed and collected for the purpose of providing additional funds necessary to ensure the Town’s ability to maintain fire protection in accordance with its current standards.
