A Recreation Board consisting of five (5) members shall be established; members shall be Village residents, selected at large, and shall serve a four (4) year term. The Recreation Board shall have the powers conferred upon it by general law and by Council ordinances.
This Board shall serve as an advisory Board to Council regarding the recreation needs of the Village. The Recreation Board shall be a continuing body. Three members of the Board shall be appointed directly by the Mayor. Two members shall be recommended by the local School Board and appointed by the Mayor with approval of Council. In the event of a vacancy on the Recreation Board, that position shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.
