Council shall prepare a job description for the position of Municipal Manager in conformance with this Charter. A majority vote of the members elected to Council with the Mayor present shall be required for the appointment of the Municipal Manager (hereafter referred to as "Manager"). The members of Council shall consider the input of the Mayor in this appointment. Council may retain the use of a paid consultant and/or appoint a search committee to assist in the initial screening of applicants for the position of Manager. Upon appointment, the Manager shall serve at the pleasure of Council.
