The Mayor shall be recognized as the official and ceremonial head of the Village and by the Governor for military purposes.
A majority vote of all the members of Council with the Mayor present shall be required for appointment, re-appointment, or removal of the Municipal Manager (herein referred to as "Manager"). If the Mayor is absent from two regularly scheduled consecutive Council meetings, then Council may act in the Mayor's absence.
The Mayor shall be an ex-officio member of all Council committees. The Mayor shall have all other powers and duties imposed upon the Mayor by ordinance, resolution, and the Ohio Revised Code which do not conflict with the other provisions in this Charter.
In order to be properly informed about Village activities and to communicate concerns to full-time staff members, the Mayor shall, when practical, meet with the Manager not less frequently than once each week. The purpose of these meetings shall be to discuss activities, policies, schedules, public comments and/or other items relevant to Village operations.
