The initial Tree Commission shall contain two (2) members appointed for a term of two (2) years and three (3) members appointed for a term of three (3) years. Thereafter, all subsequent appointments shall be for a term of two (2) years. Members of the Commission may be appointed for consecutive terms. The chairman of the Tree Commission shall be compensated at the rate of three hundred dollars ($300) annually. All other members shall be compensated at the rate of two hundred forty dollars ($240) annually.
