For the purpose of this title the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BICYCLE.
Every device propelled by human power upon which any person may ride, having two tandem wheels and including any device generally recognized as a bicycle though equipped with two front or two rear wheels.
CROSS-WALK.
(1) That part of a roadway at an intersection included within the connections of the lateral lines of the sidewalks on opposite sides of the street measured from the curbs, or in the absence of curbs from the edges of the traversable roadway.
(2) Any portion of a roadway at an intersection or elsewhere distinctly indicated for pedestrian crossing by lines or other markings on the surface.
DRIVER.
Every person who drives or is in actual physical control of a vehicle.
EMERGENCY VEHICLE.
Vehicles of the police or fire department; ambulances; any vehicle conveying a city official or employee in response to an emergency official call.
FUNERAL PROCESSIONS.
Two (2) or more vehicles accompanying the body of a deceased person when each vehicle has its headlights on or is displaying a pennant attached in such a manner as to be clearly visible to approaching traffic.

INTERSECTIONS.
The area embraced within the prolongation of the property lines of two or more streets which join at an angle, whether or not such streets cross.
MOTORCYCLE.
Every motor vehicle having a saddle for the use of the rider and designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground, but excluding a tractor.
MOTOR VEHICLE.
Every vehicle which is self-propelled.
OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES.
All signs, signals, markings and devices not inconsistent with this traffic code, placed or erected by authority of the state or the legislative body of the city, for the purpose of regulating, warning, or guiding traffic.
PARK.
When prohibited means the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, for a period of time greater than is reasonably necessary for the actual loading or unloading of persons.
ROADWAY.
That portion of a street or highway improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel including any drainage ditches.
STOP.
When required means complete cessation of movement.
STOP, STOPPING OR STANDING.
When prohibited means any stopping or standing of a vehicle whether occupied or not, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic control sign or signal.
STREET or HIGHWAY.
The entire width between the boundary lines of every way when any part thereof is open to the use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel.
TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL.
Any device, whether manually, electrically or mechanically operated, by which traffic is alternately directed to stop and to proceed.
VEHICLE. Includes all agencies for the transportation of persons or property over or upon the public highways of the Commonwealth and all vehicles passing over or upon the highways. MOTOR VEHICLE. Includes all vehicles, as defined above except, road rollers; road graders; farm tractors; vehicles on which power shovels are
mounted; construction equipment customarily used only on the site of construction and which is not practical for the transportation of persons or property upon the highways; vehicles that travel exclusively upon rails; vehicles propelled by electric power obtained from overhead wires while being operated within any municipality or where the vehicles do not travel more than five (5) miles beyond the city limits of any municipality; vehicles propelled by muscular power; and electric low-speed scooters.
