§ 31.41 BUILDING/ZONING ADMINISTRATOR.
   (A)   Establishment. The city hereby establishes the office of Building/Zoning Administrator.
   (B)   Duties. The duties and responsibilities of the Building/Zoning Administrator shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
      (1)   The Building/Zoning Administrator shall enforce the Building Codes of the city, KRS 198B, and any other applicable Building and Life Safety Codes.
      (2)   The Building/Zoning Administrator shall enforce the Official Zoning Ordinance of the city as well as the applicable KRS Ch. 100.
      (3)   The Building/Zoning Administrator shall attend all regular City Council meetings, Planning Commission meetings, and Board of Adjustment meetings unless excused by the Mayor or Chairperson of the respective bodies; he shall further assist the City Clerk in administration of the applications for zoning and/or building permits, and otherwise endeavor in all respects to bring about the strict enforcement of state law and city ordinance.
   (C)   Compensation. The Building/Zoning Administrator shall be compensated for services in the amount established by City Council from time to time, with additional payments made at six-month-intervals based upon zoning permit fees issued with the Building/Zoning Administrator receiving one-half of all fees collected.

   (D)   Oath. No person shall be appointed or act as the Building/Zoning Administrator unless the person has taken the oath required by section 228 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and has provided bond, if required, with corporate surety authorized to transact business in Kentucky and conditioned upon the performance of the duties specified herein.
