Before any permit is issued pursuant to law within the effective area of this subchapter for the alteration, construction or repair of electrical wiring, and before approval of any inspection required within the effective area of this subchapter is issued by the inspecting agency, such permit or approval certificate shall bear the license number assigned, as provided in this subchapter, to the electrical contractor performing such work.
