(A) There is hereby established the Northern Kentucky Electric Authority, an examining and appeal board consisting of seven (7) members as authorized in KRS 227.450 through 227.500, two (2) of whom shall be Fire Department officials, two of whom shall be consulting electrical engineers or architects, two (2) of whom shall be electrical contractors and one (1) shall be a utility company official, initially three (3) of whom shall serve for one (1) year and four (4) of whom shall serve for a term of two (2) years, and thereafter all appointments shall be a term of two (2) years.
(B) Original appointments and appointments to fill vacancies therein shall be made by resolution of the County Fiscal Court.
(C) The jurisdiction of this Authority shall extend to the territorial limits, of the city.
(D) The members of the Authority thus established shall serve without salary. In order to administer this subchapter, the Authority may issue and revoke licenses; hear and settle disputes over code questions and how it shall apply in the affected areas; conduct and make regulations for conducting examinations of applicants; and govern the method and time of making application for examination and the time within which applicants shall be examined after application has been filed. It may adopt any other reasonable regulations to administer this subchapter.
