A. The Design Review Commission of the city shall consist of seven (7) members. The members shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The commission membership shall be made up of:
1. At least one (1) member, and no more than two (2) members, of the Planning Commission;
2. One (1) resident of Coeur d'Alene;
3. At least one (1) registered architect licensed in the state of Idaho;
4. At least one (1) person licensed in building or site design;
5. At least one (1) person who is or has been a real estate or development professional.
6. At least one (1) person, and no more than two (2) persons who resides within any of the districts under the purview of the Design Review Commission;
B. The term of office for each member shall be for four (4) years. A member’s term may extend past the expiration of that term until his or her successor is appointed and takes office. The terms shall be staggered so that no more than three (3) terms shall expire on May 1, every two (2) years.
C. Vacancies occurring otherwise than through the expiration of terms shall be filled by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
D. A member may be removed prior to the expiration of his or her term upon recommendation by the Mayor, confirmed by the City Council.
E. Members of the Commission shall be selected without respect to political affiliations and shall serve without compensation. (Ord. 3651 §1, 2020: Ord. 3328 §3, 2008)
