The permittee shall, upon notice from the Engineer or his authorized representative, immediately repair any injury or damage in any portion of the street which occurs as a result of the work done under the permit, including any and all damage to the street which would not have occurred had such work not been done, and which, in the opinion of the Engineer or his authorized representative, constitutes a public hazard. In the event such repairs are not made by the permittee within twenty four (24) hours after notice, the Engineer is authorized to make such repairs and charge all costs plus fifteen percent (15%) to the permittee.
