6.30.080: FOOD AND WATER:
   A.   Animals which are housed for more than twenty four (24) hours must be fed at least once a day unless veterinary orders provide otherwise. The food must be free from contamination, wholesome, palatable and of sufficient quality and nutritive value to meet the normal daily requirements for the condition and size of the animal.
   B.   Potable water must be available to animals kept longer than twenty four (24) hours at all times unless veterinary orders provide otherwise.
   C.   Food receptacles must be accessible to the animal and must be placed in a location that minimizes contamination by feces and urine. Feeding and watering pans must be durable and cleaned at least daily. Disposable food receptacles may be used but must be discarded after each feeding. Self-feeders may be used for the feeding of dry food but they must be sanitized regularly to prevent molding, deterioration or caking of feed. (Ord. 3383 §2, 2010)
