6.30.050: OUTDOOR FACILITY STANDARDS:
In addition to the standards required under section 6.30.030 of this chapter, outdoor facilities must also meet the following requirements:
   A.   When sunlight is likely to cause overheating or discomfort to the animals, sufficient shade must be provided to allow all pet animals kept outdoors to protect themselves from the direct rays of the sun;
   B.   Pet animals kept outdoors must be provided with access to shelter to allow them to remain dry during rain or snow;
   C.   Shelter must be provided for all pet animals kept outdoors when the temperature falls below fifty degrees Fahrenheit (50°F). Sufficient clean bedding material or other means of protection from the elements must be provided when the ambient temperature falls below the temperature to which the animal is acclimated; and
   D.   A suitable method must be provided to rapidly eliminate excess water. (Ord. 3383 §2, 2010)
