(A) Every new tap into the existing sewer mains or new installed in extension of the town’s sewer system shall be installed by the town and shall bear a “tapping fee” charge of $75 per dwelling utilizing the tap. The fee may be altered from time to time by the town to account for increasing or decreasing costs.
(B) In addition to the “tapping fee” in division (A) above, the town may, if deemed necessary, institute a monthly sewer charge to defray the costs of operating, maintaining and expanding the sewer system. The charge may be based on the character of the user’s sewage and its volume or other basis that the Board deems justified.
