§ 93.46 DESTRUCTION OF WOUNDED OR DISEASED ANIMALS.
   (A)   Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, any animal impounded which is badly wounded or diseased (not a rabies suspect) and has no identification, may be destroyed immediately in a humane manner.
   (B)   If the animal has identification, the Animal Control Officer shall attempt to notify the owner before disposing of the animal, but if the owner cannot be reached readily and the animal is suffering, the Animal Control Officer may destroy the animal at his or her discretion in a humane manner.
