(A) Immediately upon impounding an animal, the Animal Control Officer shall make a reasonable effort to notify the owner and inform the owner of the conditions whereby the animal may be redeemed.
(B) (1) If the owner of the animal is known or can be located, the animal must be kept in the Animal Shelter for a minimum of seven days.
(2) If the owner of the animal is unknown or cannot be located, the animal must be kept in the Animal Shelter for a minimum of four days.
