(a) The Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI&I) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) require all background checks to be submitted electronically through the Federal and State "web check" program.
(b) For the Clyde Police Department to comply with this program requires the purchase of a Data Max System that is compatible with both the Federal and State operating systems. Both the Federal and State system currently charge the Clyde Police department a fee for each set of fingerprints submitted.
(c) The following fee schedule is hereby established to recover the costs of paying the Federal and State fees and the cost of operating the Data Max System in the Clyde Police Department. The additional five dollar ($5.00) fee covers either the Federal or State Web Check or both.
(1) Residents of the City of Clyde: Federal and State Fee, rounded up to the next dollar amount plus- $5.00
(2) Employment within the City of Clyde: Federal and State Fee, rounded up to the next dollar amount plus- $5.00
(3) Employment with Clyde-Green Springs School System: Federal and State Fee, rounded up to the next dollar amount plus- $5.00
(d) For non-residents of The City of Clyde, or those individuals not employed within the City or employed by the Clyde-Green Springs School System, shall be charged, in addition to the Federal and State Fees, rounded up to the next dollar amount, a fee of forty-five dollars ($45.00) for one or both sets submitted.
