It shall be a violation of this chapter for any person to own, possess, harbor, or keep any dog or cat within the city limits unless that animal is vaccinated against rabies in compliance with KRS 258.015. For the purposes of this chapter, any peace officer, as defined by KRS 446.010statutory, shall have authority to enter upon private property only for the purpose of taking into custody any unvaccinated or unlicensed dog, any dog found at large within the city, or any dog found upon the property of another other than the owner of the dog. It shall be unlawful for any person to interfere with such officer in such endeavors.
