§ 36.022 ABSENCE OF FIRE CHIEF.
   (A)   In the absence of the Chief of the Fire Department, the Assistant Fire Chief shall command the Department and be held responsible therefor in all aspects, with the full powers and responsibilities of the Chief.
   (B)   The officer of the Fire Department of the highest rank at a fire shall take command of the Fire Department and direct the management thereof for the suppression of the fire in the best manner possible.
