§ 36.004 POLICE OFFICERS.
   (A)   The establishment of the office of the city police officer is hereby confirmed and ratified.
   (B)   The powers and duties of the office of city police officer shall be to see that peace and good order are preserved at all times and as shall be further stated and described in the adopted position description for said position as contained in the classification plan for city employees, or as otherwise provided by the Mayor.
   (C)   No person shall be appointed or act as a city police officer unless such person has taken the oath required of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
   (D)   The individual holding the position of the city police officer shall be compensated at a rate established by the personnel policy of the city.
