(A) The town may pay a mileage allowance for the use of personal vehicles for preapproved use of such vehicles for authorized town business.
(B) The mileage allowance shall be fixed at a rate as set forth by the prevailing federal standards for such rates of reimbursement and upon compliance with all local regulations and regulations set forth by the State Board of Accounts.
