§ 30.04 SELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT.
   (A)   The Council shall select one of its members to be its President and one of its members to be its Vice-President for a definite term, which may not exceed such member’s term of office as a member of the legislative body.
   (B)   The President of the Town Council is the town executive.
   (C)   The Vice-President of the Town Council shall serve as executive in his or her absence, sickness, inability, or refusal to serve.
   (D)   If a Council member leaves office by moving out of the town limits, health issues, or death and they are affiliated with a party, then the party will caucus and appoint a new Town Council member to serve the rest of the term. If the Council member is an independent, then the Town Council shall appoint the new member to serve out the term.
