(A) Persons not specifically authorized by town officials may not tamper with, remove lids, or otherwise gain access to water meter pits.
(B) Any person tampering or making unauthorized entry to meter pits shall be liable for damage, either directly or indirectly, as a result of such entry or tampering.
(C) In the event any person is found in violation of this section, the Town Marshal will be notified of theft, and the town may install lockdown pit covers at the expense of such user including all incidental labor and material cost of such installation.
