Except as provided in this section, no lot shall contain any building used in whole or in part for any residence purposes unless such lot abuts for at least forty feet (40') on at least one public street. An exclusive unobstructed ingress/egress easement of access or right of way of at least twenty-four feet (24') wide to a public street may be used to satisfy this requirement in unique circumstances.
