2-1-1: APPOINTMENT; MEMBERSHIP:

There shall be appointed by the council a city planning and zoning commission, hereinafter referred to as the "commission", consisting of seven (7) members, who shall be residents of the city and qualified by knowledge or experience to act in matters pertaining to the development of a city plan and who shall not hold any elective office in the city government. (2000 Code § 23.01)
