Pursuant to published notice and public hearing, as required by law, the national electrical code (NEC), 2011 edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 70) and the code provisions herein, are adopted in full except for such portions of the 2011 national electrical code as may be hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended, and shall constitute the "electrical update code of the city of Clive, Iowa".
