The owner, lessee, occupant or person in charge of property abutting sidewalks and shared use paths shall remove snow and ice accumulations from sidewalks and from a portion of shared use paths equal in width to the minimum width of a sidewalk under this code within twenty four (24) hours after a snowfall or the deposit or formation of ice thereon.
