For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GARAGE SALE or YARD SALE. The sale of personal property conducted in or near a residence under cover, partially under cover, or completely outside any building in the open. The terms include GARAGE SALES, PATIO SALES, RUMMAGE SALES, YARD SALES, or other similar sales which may be advertised by signs or other means for the public attend. The term does not include in sales in commercially-zoned areas or industrially-zoned areas of the city nor does it include professionally conducted auctions.
PERSON. As used herein, it is a corporation, non-profit organization, individual or member of the family residing in a household conducting a sale.
