9-3-1: PREAPPLICATION CONFERENCE PROCEDURE:
   (A)   Preapplication Conference: Prior to the filing of an application for approval of the preliminary plan, the subdivider may request a conference with the planning commission staff for preliminary discussion of the proposed subdivision. This step does not require formal application, fee, or filing of the plat.
   (B)   Purpose: The purpose of the preapplication conference is to afford the subdivider an opportunity to avail himself of the advice and assistance of the planning commission and to consult early and informally with the planning commission staff before preparation of the preliminary plan and before formal application for its approval to save time and money, and to make the most of his opportunities.
   (C)   Consultation: The subdivider may also consult with the superintendent of public works and the city zoning officer, and avail himself of the advice and assistance of these offices.
   (D)   Conference Recommended, But Not Mandatory: The preapplication conference is recommended but is not a mandatory requirement of the subdivider. (Ord. 869, 11-5-2001)
