(A) All land included in a major subdivision, contiguous to the corporate boundary of the city, shall be annexed to the city prior to approval of the final plat by the city council, unless otherwise directed by the city council.
(B) Land being transferred by subdivision, classified as a minor subdivision, contiguous to the corporate boundary of the city, shall be annexed to the city within sixty (60) days after approval is granted for acceptance as a minor subdivision, unless otherwise directed by the city council.
