8-1-4: FIRES REGULATED:
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to build or light any fire in connection with or in relation to the demolition of any building or other structure. (Ord. 320, 8-6-1984)
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person to burn any trash, rubbish or kitchen or household garbage, lumber, grass clippings, leaves, and brush out of doors anywhere in the city of Clinton. Nothing contained herein shall prohibit the city, through its employees, from burning leaves and brush at any time after a storm event. (Ord. 1098, 12-3-2007)
   (C)   It shall be unlawful to build or light any bonfire or fire close to any building or other structure so as to endanger such building or structure or on any street or sidewalk pavement. For purposes of this subsection, any bonfire or fire closer than ten feet (10') to any building or structure shall be deemed to endanger said building or structure. (Ord. 791, 9-20-1999)
   (D)   For purposes of this subsection, the term "kitchen and household garbage" is defined in section 3-6-1 of this code. The terms "rubbish" and "trash" are defined as refuse accumulations of paper, excelsior, rags or wooden or paper boxes or containers, sweepings and all other accumulations of a nature other than garbage which are usual to housekeeping and to the operation of stores, offices and other business places including such garden trash as is capable of deposit in a trash container.    (E)   This section shall not prohibit the use of an outdoor fire for cooking or for recreation; provided, however, it shall be unlawful to build or light any outdoor fire for cooking or recreation on any street or sidewalk pavement. It is further provided that no outdoor fire for cooking or recreation shall be started or permitted to burn or smolder after eleven o'clock (11:00) P.M. (Ord. 320, 8-6-1984; amd. Ord. 661, 8-19-1996)
   (F)   Any person violating any provision of this section shall be fined twenty five dollars ($25.00) per occurrence. (Ord. 791, 9-20-1999)
