1-8-4: COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC PROPERTY:
   (A)   General Powers And Duties, Subordinates: The commissioner of public property shall have charge of and supervision over the city waterworks, and the superintendent of waterworks. (1968 Code, sec. 7-101)
   (B)   Bond: Before entering upon the duties of his office, the commissioner of public property shall execute and deliver a bond in the form prescribed by law, payable to the city, in the penal sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00), with sureties to be approved by the judge of the circuit court of DeWitt County, Illinois. Said bond shall be filed in the office of the county clerk of DeWitt County, Illinois. (1968 Code, sec. 7-102; amd. 1983 Code)
   (C)   Annual Estimate: The commissioner of public property shall prepare and submit to the commissioner of accounts and finances before May 1 of each year an estimate of the whole cost of maintaining his department, including all subdepartments and activities under the control and supervision of the said commissioner of public property, during the succeeding fiscal year, which estimate shall be in detail and shall be laid by the commissioner of accounts and finances before the council at the same time that the annual estimate of the said commissioner of accounts and finances is laid before the council.
