Evidence obtained by use of an order to allow inspection may be used to effectuate the purposes and provisions of this chapter in any ensuing action brought by the city for a violation of this chapter; provided, that no evidence obtained by use of an order to allow inspection may be used for any purpose if the Housing Inspector did not first make reasonable effort to obtain consent to conduct the inspection as required by § of this chapter.
