§ 155.08 PERMITS NOT TRANSFERABLE; NOTIFICATION OF SALE.
Permits issued pursuant to this chapter are not transferable upon the sale or other transfer of a permitted property or rental unit until such time as the new owner registers the property as required by this chapter. Upon registration by new owner, the permit shall continue to the next required bi-annual registration. Every person holding an occupancy permit, as required by this chapter, shall give written notice to Building and Neighborhood Services within 30 days after having sold, transferred, conveyed or otherwise disposed of his or her ownership of, interest in or control of the dwelling unit. The notice shall include the name and address of the person succeeding to the ownership or control thereof. The new owner or transferee of the affected property or rental units shall submit the appropriate registration forms within 30 days of closing date of the sale, recording of the transfer documents, or execution of the transfer documents, whichever is later. Failure to register the property in accordance with this section shall result in the property and/or rental units being deemed an unregistered rental by the Housing Inspector.
