(A) Pursuant to published notice and public hearing, the city hereby adopts the following standard codes by reference as the Clinton Building Code:
(1) International Building Code 2018 Edition and all appendices (published by the International Code Council, Inc.)
(2) International Mechanical Code 2018 Edition (published by the International Code Council, Inc.)

National Electrical Code 2020 Edition (published by National Fire Protection Agency)
(4) International Residential Code 2018 Edition and all appendices (published by the International Code Council, Inc.)
(5) International Existing Building Code 2018 Edition (published by the International Code Council, Inc.)
(6) Uniform Plumbing Code 2018 Edition (published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials)
(7) International Energy Conservation Code 2018 Edition (published by the International Code Council, Inc.)
(B) The standard codes are hereby adopted in full except for the portions as may be deleted, modified or amended in this or subsequent ordinances. If any conflict exists between the adopted codes, the more restrictive code requirement applies. The provisions of the codes shall be controlling in the construction of buildings and other structures and in all matters covered by the code within the corporate limits of the city and shall be known as the “Clinton Building Code.”
