A motor vehicle entering the corporate limits of the city from the State of Illinois or going to Illinois from the city may be operated on designated truck routes irrespective of weight and length limitations imposed by the laws of the state if the weight and length of the motor vehicle is in compliance with the laws relating to weight and length of motor vehicles of the State of Illinois.
