The city is four wards described as follows.
(A) The First Ward in the city shall be bounded as follows.
(1) First Ward; First Precinct. All that part of the city bounded as follows:
Starting at the center of the intersection of 7th Avenue South & Argyle Court; Thence easterly along the centerline of 7th Avenue South to the centerline of South 5th Street; Thence northerly along the centerline of South 5th Street to the centerline of 6th Avenue South; Thence easterly along the centerline of 6th Avenue South to the centerline of South 4th Street; Thence northerly along the centerline of South 4th Street to the centerline of 5th Avenue South; Thence easterly along the centerline of 5th Avenue South to the centerline of Riverview Drive; Thence northerly along the centerline of Riverview Drive to centerline, if extended easterly, of 4th Avenue South; Thence easterly along the extended centerline of 4th Avenue South to the eastern city limits of Clinton, being the thread of the main channel of the Mississippi River; Thence southerly along the eastern city limits of Clinton to the approximate centerline of Beaver Slough; Thence southwesterly along the centerline of Beaver Slough to approximately an extension south from the South 5th Street boat ramp; Thence northerly along the South 5th Street boat ramp to the railroad tracks along the north edge of the South 5th Street boat ramp; Thence southwesterly approximately along the south edge of the railroad tracks along the edge of the Mississippi River to the extension of the old 18th Place right-of-way and the toe of the Mississippi River levee; Thence northwesterly along the centerline of the old 18th Place right-of-way to the centerline of Camanche Avenue; Thence southwesterly along the centerline of Camanche Avenue to the centerline of 18th Place; Thence northwesterly along the centerline of 18th Place to the centerline of 15th Avenue South; Thence westerly along the centerline of 15th Avenue South to the centerline of South 12th Street; Thence northerly along the centerline of South 12th Street to the centerline of Briar Cliff Lane; Thence northeasterly along the centerline of Briar Cliff Lane to the centerline of South 10th Street; Thence northerly along the centerline of South 10th Street to the centerline of Lincoln Boulevard; Thence northeasterly along the centerline of Lincoln Boulevard and continuing northerly on the centerline of Argyle Court to the centerline of 7th Avenue South, which is the starting point.
(2) First Ward; Second Precinct. All the parts of the city lying south and west of the following described lines:

Starting at the center of the intersection of North Bluff Boulevard and 3rd Avenue North; Thence southeasterly along the centerline of 3rd Avenue North to the centerline of North 2nd Street; Thence northeasterly along the centerline of North 2nd Street to the centerline of 4th Avenue North; Thence southeasterly along the centerline of 4th Avenue north to the east line of Roosevelt Street; Thence southeasterly along the south edge of the baseball parking lot and continuing on the centerline of the roadway along the west side of Riverview Park to centerline of 1st Avenue; Thence easterly along the centerline of 1st Avenue and its extension to the eastern city limits of Clinton, being the thread of the main channel of the Mississippi River; Thence southerly along the eastern city limits of Clinton to an extension of the centerline of 4th Avenue South; Thence westerly to the centerline of Riverview Drive; Thence southerly along the centerline of Riverview Drive to the centerline of 5th Avenue South; Thence westerly along the centerline of 5th Avenue South to the centerline of South 4th Street; Thence southerly along the centerline of South 4th Street to the centerline of 6th Avenue South. Commencing at the intersection of the west corporate limits of said city and the centerline of Main Avenue, being U.S. Highway 136; Thence easterly along the centerline of Main Avenue to the centerline of North 3rd Street; Thence northeasterly along the centerline of North 3rd Street to the centerline of 26th Avenue North; Thence southeasterly along the centerline of 26th Avenue North to the centerline of Pershing Boulevard; Thence northeasterly along the centerline of Pershing Boulevard to the centerline of 29th Avenue North; Thence southeasterly along the centerline of 29th Avenue North to the centerline of the alley east of Garfield Street; Thence northeasterly along the centerline of the alley east of Garfield Street to the centerline of 30th Avenue North; Thence southeasterly along the centerline of 30th Avenue North and its southeasterly extension to the east city limit, being the thread of the main channel of the Mississippi River.
(2) Fourth Ward; Second Precinct. The Fourth Ward; Second Precinct in the city shall be bounded as follows:
