All yard waste and recyclable items shall be separated by the owner or occupant from all other solid waste/garbage accumulated on the premises. All yard waste and recyclable items must be placed in theproper respective city provided containers for collection. Yard waste and recycling containers that contain material other than the proper material as defined for each container will not be collected by the city. The owner or occupant of the residence responsible for a city-owned container that is found to have improper items or material deposited in them will be notified of the misuse or violation. If any contaminated materials are continued to be found within the containers, it will result in the city stopping collection of the misused container along with its removal.
