Any dog not reclaimed by the owner within four days, or any cat not reclaimed by the owner within three days after impoundment or in the event notice was given to the owner, within four or three days respectively, shall be placed up for adoption or foster care as determined by the animal welfare organization. Animals declared dangerous shall not be adopted. In the case of dangerous animals not removed from the city limits as required by § 91.24, said animals shall be humanely euthanized in accordance with that section.
