§ 86.10 CITY OPERATION PERMIT.
   (A)   ATV/UTV permit. Persons operating ATVs or UTVs on city streets shall have a valid and current permit from the Department of Natural Resources for the same, and shall be required to show the same upon inspection by law enforcement officers.
   (B)   Golf cart operation permit. A one-time city operation permit fee of a $50 shall be paid by all owners golf carts operated on city streets, and the owner shall retain a copy of the permit in the golf cart during operation. Should the golf cart be sold or transferred, a new permit and new fee shall be required. The permit is for identification purposes. Non-residents wishing to operate golf carts in the city on a temporary basis may do so for a seven-day period without a city permit. Any use beyond seven consecutive days requires registration or the golf cart. All golf carts shall have a current, color-coded city operation permit sticker or non-resident temporary permit affixed and plainly visible on the golf cart at all times during operation with exception of what is noted above. No city operation permit or non-resident temporary sticker shall be issued unless the applicant provides proof of current insurance. The permitting requirements of this chapter shall not apply to city officials' use of golf carts in the course of official duties.
